The fabrics produced by Mectex with this fibre have the innovative property of biodegrading, in anaerobic landfill conditions, up to 99% in 5 years. The ECOSOUL family of Mectex fabrics is the ultimate ecological solution leading to the elimination of textile waste worldwide.
The biodegradation process is only activated once the fabric is disposed of in the anaerobic landfill; under normal ‘life’ conditions of the fabric and/or the garment made with it, the performance is unaffected compared to the standard PA 6.6 fibre, which the market is used to appreciate.
